Yin Yoga
Yin is about slowing down, turning in and giving yourself the permission to be exactly who you are. Postures are held for long periods of time exploring the edges of productive discomfort. This modality of yoga has the potential to greatly increase mobility and relieve chronic tightness. In this practice you are always encouraged to be aware of your body and its response to the stress of the practice and to opt out, or move away from painful sensations. However, if you are experiencing pain or recovering from an injury, this practice may exacerbate the symptoms you are experiencing. Consult with your doctor or physio to learn if this practice is good for you.

Slow Flow
Slow doesn't mean easy! When we rush, it decreases our capacity for awareness of our body and we often ignore sensation. Overtime, the repetition of action without awareness can lead to injury an pain. Take your time and remember to breathe! Feel your body from the inside out and move with deliberation and care. Slow flow offers a generalized practice that moves your joints through their full range of motion without any preconceived idea about how the practice is supposed to look for any body. This is a time for you to get to know yourself and how your body prefers to move and to learn how to develop and maintain physical mobility.
